ICARUS DUTY OF CARE - ADDITIONAL TOOLKIT
Safety in the Global Village: Keeping your staff healthy and safe abroad
ICARUS has added an additional tool to its established Duty of Care Toolkit; a series of tools to assist those managing travel programmes. The toolkit is designed to help identify why, what and how to approach duty of care principles within business travel and meetings activity and provide guidance on how UK legislation in particular impacts corporate travel and meetings programmes.
At present there is a growing awareness of how important health and safety management is to the success of organisations. How will you apply your organisation's health and safety standards if you or your employees are working abroad? How will you manage the effects of a different working culture and environment?
This latest information tool from the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) offers basic information for those placing people abroad and for those who are posted - short and long term. The topics covered include international travel policies, looking at specific risks, personal security and crisis management and includes advice and checklists to answer the above questions.
IOSH is Europe's leading body for health and safety professionals with almost 33,000 members worldwide. IOSH is a non-for-profit organisation and sets professional standards, supports and develops its members, providing advice and guidance on health and safety issues.
